I – Leaders in non‑service roles must be held, and hold themselves, to higher standards than those appointed below them.

II – Leaders in non‑service roles must accept primary responsibility for themselves and those appointed below them.

III – Leaders in non‑service roles must support the wellbeing of their subordinates as part of sustaining the Common Good.

IV – Leaders in non‑service roles must be willing to share the work and responsibilities of their subordinates.

V – Leaders in non‑service roles must never direct a subordinate to undertake a task they themselves would not do.

VI – Leaders in non‑service roles must pass credit to their subordinates while accepting responsibility for failure.

VII – Leaders in non‑service roles must be willing, when necessary, to accept personal sacrifice in pursuit of collective success, provided that success sustains the Common Good.

VIII – Leadership in non‑service roles must be earned continuously through action, example, and persistence.
