Government

I – Government arises when individuals transfer portions of their personal power to a centralized structure in order to reduce the likelihood of suffering, instability, and harm.

II – The cumulative power of individuals, when vested in a centralized structure, forms the basis of governmental authority.

III – Government is the manifestation of this aggregated power, organized to coordinate collective action and manage shared resources.

IV – The concentration of power within government is a structural requirement for the persistence, coordination, and advancement of complex societies.

V – Governmental authority persists only so long as it fulfills the needs and expectations of the individuals who vested their power in it.

VI – When a government fails to meet these needs, individuals may withdraw their support, participation, or legitimacy from the governing structure.

VII – The withdrawal of individual support destabilizes governmental structures and may produce significant disruption within the society that depends on them.
