Terraforming

I – Terraforming is the conscious or unconscious alteration of a system by external forces.

II – Passive terraforming occurs through natural processes such as celestial, geological, meteorological, or non‑conscious biological activity.

III – Reactive terraforming is the purposeful alteration of a system to restore it to a previous state or to limit further change.

IV – Active terraforming is the purposeful alteration of a system to render it more usable, sustainable, or desirable.

V – All systems are necessarily affected by some form of terraforming, whether passive, reactive, or active.

VI – All systems are always in flux.
