Soul and Afterlife
I – Those Who Muse recognize that the concept of the soul expresses the possibility that consciousness may exist beyond the physical body.
II – Those Who Muse accepts that the nature and disposition of the soul, should it exist, after death is currently unknown.
III – Those Who Muse accepts that neither the existence of the soul nor the existence of an afterlife can be proven with absolute certainty.
IV – As such, Those Who Muse accept that belief in the soul and the afterlife must be embraced as a matter of Faith.
V – This Faith is foundational to the orientation and understanding of Those Who Muse.
VI – This Faith supports the Common Good by providing shared meaning through which cooperation, compassion, and mutual understanding become possible.
VII – This Faith strengthens communities by grounding individuals within a broader narrative of purpose, persistence, and connection.
VIII – This Faith benefits the individual by offering coherence, continuity, and orientation within the uncertainties of existence.
