Prayer
I – Prayer is an intentional act of addressing a power, presence, or possibility beyond oneself in relation to an uncertain or desired outcome.
II – Prayer may be directed toward conscious beings, symbolic entities, natural forces, cultural traditions, imagined futures, or no specific recipient at all.
III – Regardless of the existence or nature of its recipient, the act of prayer can provide psychological, emotional, or social benefit to the individual or group engaged in it.
IV – Prayer functions as a form of reflection, release, or catharsis that helps individuals or groups process uncertainty, fear, hope, or aspiration.
V – This process can support mental, emotional, and physical well‑being by reducing stress, clarifying intention, and strengthening resilience.
VI – Prayer can influence outcomes indirectly, as individuals or groups may consciously or unconsciously act in ways aligned with the intentions expressed in prayer.
VII – When practiced with sincerity and clarity, prayer can strengthen both the Common Good and the individual by fostering empathy, unity, cooperation, and shared purpose.
