Constraint and Agency

I – All beings exist within forces and conditions external to themselves.

II – For most beings, these conditions are neither examined nor experienced as constraints.

III – In sufficiently conscious individuals, these conditions become both experienced and questioned, giving rise to subjective interpretations of autonomy.

IV – Such individuals recognize that objective autonomy is always bounded by external conditions.

V – The meaningful exercise of agency arises from understanding those bounds rather than ignoring them.
